Residence Prices 2025 – Valid from 1.09.2025
General Information
In principle, all WIST student dormitories can be occupied throughout the entire year (with the exception of the summer hotel operation in Karwendel 2). Upon moving in, a usage contract is concluded between WIST and the new resident in accordance with the Austrian Student Dormitory Act BGBl. 291/1986 in its current version. The contract usually begins on 1 September of the respective academic year, and the contract duration is one year (until 31 August of the following year).
Any exceptions will be communicated separately in the acceptance letter or room allocation notice.
Residence Prices
For a 12-month contract duration or for contracts beginning in the summer semester (01.03–31.08), the standard prices apply. For short-term contracts (contract duration shorter than 12 months), due to the reduced contract period, a monthly surcharge of € 45 to € 75 is added to the standard price.

The following additional prices apply equally to all residences and are charged per month and resident:
All prices are per person and include operating costs and all taxes. The internet fee of € 65 will be deducted from the deposit after the contract ends. All fees include the applicable VAT. Prices may be adjusted by the residence administration if economically necessary. Documents may be submitted later in justified cases; however, a decision on admission is only possible once all documents have been received. The contract start date is generally 1 September of the respective academic year. Exceptions will be communicated in the room allocation notice. |
